Cookies Policy
Last updated: May 2026This page explains what cookies and local browser storage DropKit uses when you visit trydropkit.com, why we use them, and how you can control them.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. We also use localStorage and sessionStorage — similar browser-based storage mechanisms that work without setting a cookie file.
What We Use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cookie | Set by Meta Pixel. Identifies your browser for ad measurement, audience building, and conversion attribution on Facebook/Instagram. | 90 days | |
| Cookie | Set by Meta Pixel when you arrive via a Facebook ad click. Used to link your visit to the originating ad. | 90 days | |
| Cookie | Set by PostHog for analytics — identifies your browser session for event tracking and session recordings. | 1 year | |
| localStorage | Stores the expiry timestamp for the countdown timer on the landing page. Contains no personal data. | Persistent (local) | |
| sessionStorage | A random UUID used to group analytics events within a single browser session. Not linked to your identity. | Tab close | |
| localStorage | Stores the Facebook click ID from the URL if you arrive from a Meta ad. Passed to our Conversions API for attribution. Only set if fbclid is present in the URL. | Persistent (local) |
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services we use:
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — For ad measurement. Meta Privacy Policy. To opt out: Meta Ad Settings.
- PostHog — For product analytics. PostHog Privacy Policy.
How to Control Cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking cookies may affect the countdown timer and analytics — it will not affect your ability to purchase or receive your download.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy if we add or remove cookies. Material changes will be noted with a revised "Last updated" date.
